FEES There is a $3.00 per day Hawaii State Rental Car Surcharge. Hawaii State tax is 4.166% Kona Airport Pick-up: WE NO LONGER SERVE THE KONA AIRPORT!! (Ways to get yourself to Hilo) Reservation Deposit: $250.00 Security / Cleaning (Refundable) Deposit: $500.00 We have a 7 day minimum rental from November through February. We have a 5 day minimum from March through October. Please add a $25.00 cleaning fee up front for every passenger 10 years old and under. Extra Hours: A rental day consists of a 24 hour period, starting at the time rental begins. Extra Hours are available by request, and will be charged $10.00 for each full, or partial, hour in excess of the rental day until the extra hours charges equal the daily rate specified herein. Our hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. February through September, and 7:00 am to 5:00 pm October through January. If your flight arrives before or after these times, please contact us, as alternate arrangements can be made. Late Fee: For Vehicles returned late, without G.B. Adventure’s prior knowledge and approval, rates are subject to an additional inconvenience charge of 50%, which is applied as an additional fee over and beyond the rate recorded on the rental agreement. Fuel and Service Fees: We will provide You with a full tank of SUPREME/PREMIUM fuel. You are asked to return the Vehicle with a full tank of SUPREME/PREMIUM fuel. In the event the tank is returned NOT FULL, we will assess a refueling service fee, based on a Service Charge of $7.00 per gallon. The total of this charge is determined by subtracting the capacity of the tank that is full, as indicated by the fuel gauge, from the manufacturers specified tank capacity of the vehicle. Unauthorized Driver Fee: All drivers MUST be signed on as an authorized / approved driver. NO EXCEPTIONS. Use of vehicle by an unauthorized driver will terminate this contract, and you will be required to turn in the vehicle to G.B. Adventures, with a $500.00 return penalty fee that will be charged to the authorized drivers credit card. G.B. Adventures will not be held responsible for any unauthorized drivers. Foreign / International Drivers fees: An additional $15 per day is added to the rental tariff. Also, a $25.00 non-refundable, processing fee will be charged. (click here for more info.) Cancellation Fee: All cancellations must be confirmed in writing (E-mail, fax or letter). A $25 processing charge applies to all cancellations made at any time after deposit is accepted. For cancellations made less than 2 weeks prior to scheduled date of departure, or no shows, the reservation deposit shall be forfeited. For cancellations of days off the Reserved Dates (a shortened trip) made more than 3 weeks prior to scheduled date of departure, you will only be charged the $25.00 processing fee. For cancellations of days off the Reserved Dates (a shortened trip) made less than 2 weeks prior to scheduled date of departure, you will be charged for those days whether you use them or not. There will be no refunds of time charges for late pick up or early return. |
